The National Union of Students (NUS) is the peak representative body for uni students in Australia. Every December, NUS has a conference to determine policies for the following year.

This year, we want to make sure NUS stands in support of Palestine. Our universities have deals and sponsorships with weapons companies which sell to Israel. Our government has been apalling in the face of the suffering of the people of Gaza.

We believe our union should adopt pro-Palestine policies, and we want to attend the NUS conference to make that happen. This conference costs hundreds of dollars per student to attend.
